Where it began
"Food has always been our love language."
Meg and Joel have spent their lives in and around food — from owning a cozy bistro in the Colorado Front Range, to crafting artisanal goat cheese on their farm in Western Wisconsin.
Whatever the chapter, the throughline has always been the same: a deep belief that what you put on the table matters.
When Meg stepped back from cheesemaking and converted the on-farm creamery into a licensed commercial kitchen, the space was ready for its next act. Joel stepped in — and Bifrost Butters
was born.
Craftsmanship Meets Innovation
Drawing on years of culinary experience, we've honed our craft to perfection. Our compound butters are the result of meticulous attention to detail, premium ingredients, and a refusal to compromise on quality.
Local Roots, Global Flavors
When you choose Bifrost Butters, you're not just getting a product – you're supporting a small farm in Western Wisconsin. We take pride in sourcing as many ingredients locally as possible, ensuring freshness and supporting our community while delivering world-class flavors to your table. 70% of our ingredients are local to Wisconsin and Minnesota, including the fresh herbs, never dried, that build the complexity of our butter.
Charitable Giving
Because, after food, our next favorite passion is dog rescue. A portion of all sales will be donated to the Great Dane Rescue of MN & WI, a registered 501c non-profit.
